Paul has been involved in professional theatre since 1974. As an actor he has
toured the United States with several companies including the National
Shakespeare Company (1985-86 Season). Some of his major regional credits include
Amadeus (Mozart), Dancing at Lughnasa (Michael), Death and the
Maiden (Roberto), The Foreigner (Charlie Baker), Mass Appeal
(Tim Farley), and A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum
(Pseudolus).
He has worked with several Off Broadway theatres
including SoHo Rep, The Actors Company Theatre (TACT), Prospect Theatre, The NY
FringeFest, The Barker Project and the Play Reading Series at the Pearl Theatre.
Paul spent ten years as Manager and associate of the Original Improvisation
Comedy Club in New York, where he was responsible for scheduling evening
performances and assisting in new talent searches. TV/Film work includes
Goodfellas, Law & Order and All My Children.
In
1992, he was invited to participate in the Acting Program at the Royal National
Theatre of Great Britain. For the last several years, he has been a primary
reader and director for the Eastern Central Theatre Conference playwriting
competition.
